Not all red staters are idiots. There is a lot to go into here, but to keep it short, many knew or didn't care about wmd, but thought it would be nice to "teach the world a lesson." This blends into #3.

3. People want lower gas prices. Obviously a war will make the price go up, but people don't really think all that out. I overheard, "my truck doesn't run on peace." So there you go.

I think people really thought that Bush take over Iraq, fly his jet into Bagdad, open a spigot and free gas would be flowing in the US in a week not unlike the $100 check we got in the mail a few years back. Remember that check?

Here's a deal, I'll send you $100 today, but you own me $1000 over your lifetime. I'll start collecting on interest now.

The second thing is that I wish to God people in philly were smug. If that were the case, my world would be a little better. All the people I see are downright angry. Like really pissed off at all times. Their whole world revolves around anger. They are totally pessimistic which is why when there is a slightest mistake people think it's malice and whip out a gun to "teach the people a lesson."

I'm glad you get the Phillapenes and you enjoy it there.

FredFredhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03297322821136176923noreply@blogger.com
